A great product description has the power to turn a casual shopper into a revenue-generating buyer. Yet too many online stores simply tell shoppers about the product rather than selling it to them.
There’s a big difference!
For Example : If you’ve seen my Picture. I’ve a big beard, so if I have to purchase a beard grooming kit. Usually I read the description of products in Ecommerce Store, looking for few key terms like skin allergies, hair fall, dry or smooth etc. If the product description doesn’t explain about them, I move on to the next product that does have those key terms.
Top Three Trends In Ecommerce Product Description To Follow

I have posted about it in another article regarding Niche Marketing . Do take a look at how to use Google Trends to find the Targeted Audience
This is the Image of an Apple MacBook. Do take a look at description of their product. People who are in need of a faster processor & seventh generation Intel core would eventually buy MacBook. Those are the “Keys” of their targeted audience. Similarly, your audience do search for your product with similar search term or key, so use Google Trends, customer reviews to understand your audience & improvise the sale.
When you’re selling a product, it’s understandable that you might want to share as much as possible about your products when writing the descriptions.
You want to show off the features and list all the specifications. However, it’s important to consider when this is appropriate and when it’s better to focus more on the benefits
The content of your product description should convince the potential buyers that it will improve their lives in obvious, measurable ways.
Talking about the product details of something as famous as a MacBook, for targeted audience , it’s enough for the description to have an image. Besides that, product details can list some technical specs and that’s it.
for example : a grooming beard kit that includes such as beard oil, beard wash & beard balm, could have more description. Beard products description words could have such specifics as the use method and the expected effects.
So writing the benefits of certain products vary according to the Search terms. Don’t stuff the description with all the features, Research the trending Keywords among the features of your product. And do use those key words to curate your product description & make your targeted audience make a purchase.
A good product description should give all relevant details, convince the buyer of its benefits, and pack an emotional punch.
Your job on the product page is to educate your customer. Write detailed, informative copy that helps your customer make a smart purchase decision.
Use your own voice & conversational tone to describe your product. Make the reader understand, you care for them & your product will fulfill their expectations.
When you’re explaining about your product, you should see it as an opportunity to brag a bit too. Like if there is any details that set the item apart from similar products on the market.
